The Cluny is a little bar / live music venue / food place which you will find down in the Ouseburn Valley near to Byker & Heaton.

They have more live acts on than any other venue in the City over the course of the year. They also have a range of beers & ciders so comprehensive, as to border on the ridiculous.

They always have mad crazy new stuff to try & people lap it right up.

The good news is that our chum Julien who used to graft with us in the Trent & the old Club back in the day, recently teamed up with another of our pals Stevie P & bought out the Brewery that owned it. Julien had managed it for them for years so it makes perfect sense.

So it’s back in independent hands now & is growing stronger & better every day.

The food is great, the staff are friendly and it has a cool clientele of all ages, depending on what band is on.

The venue bit is a funny little room, kinda charming & it gets rammed when they have big shows on.

They’ve put a new Soundsystem in there for bands, so the facilities are state of the art now. Live music in Newcastle wouldn’t be the same without it.

They do the Sunday dinner thing & they have a nice outdoor bit where you can sit in the Summer.

Always big on Bank Holidays, the Cluny adds massively to both the musical & drinking cultures of the City.
