The WHQ Uplifting Groove chums up with the Zambia Ideals Project for a fund & awareness raiser: upstairs Saturday night

Tom our resident DJ (see liberated women in ‘Stuff we Like’) plays upstairs this Saturday night, 10th March.

Tonight we are also raising funds & awareness for the Zambia Ideals Project.

Each year 5 Northumbria University students travel to Lusaka, Zambia along with students from 5 other leading sports Universities in the UK to deliver the Zambia IDEALS Project (International Development, Education and Leaderships through Sport) in partnership with UK Sport.

This community project based in the capital city, Lusaka, utilises the skills of students to engage with children and young people through the delivery of physical activity and sport to educate about HIV/AIDS.

There will be a stall at the top of the stairs & it would be cool if you would check it out & maybe learn a little more about this great project. If you can spare a little change, even better.

All our drinks are at pub prices & you’ll be surprised at how low things are compared to all other places. So celebrating your weekend with us, doesn’t cost the earth & even when it’s your round, you’re laughing… In fact you could even stick some of the pennies you’ll save in the charity bucket & help children improve their lives in Zambia.
